Intex Technologies to launch 'octacore' Smartphone
India’s handset maker Intex Technologies plans to launch a new
Smartphone in the country by January next year that will run on
‘Octacore’, a new processor developed by MediaTek.
To be priced at about Rs 20,000, the Octacore processor is said to be one of the best processors in the market as it allows all eight cores of the chipset to run simultaneously thus giving better performance with a higher power efficiency.
According to reports, the 16GB variant is likely to be priced at Rs 20,000 while the 32GB variant could be priced at about Rs 22,000-23,000.
Yet to be christened, the Smartphone could give tough competition to the existing Smartphones considering its low price, a 6-inch screen (as reported).
The Intex Smartphone is also reported to have features such as Android 4.2.2 JellyBean operating system, a 1.7 Ghz Octa core processor and HD IPS touch-screen.
